The Archer Beacon Hill
The Archer Beacon Hill
45 Temple St, Boston, MA 02114
The Archer Residences is a unique and exquisite addition to Boston's very sought-after, historic Beacon Hill district. Opened in 2019, this seven-story condominium full-service luxury building is located in a district traditionally characterized by antique row houses and low-rise living.
The development involved an impressive adaptive redevelopment of two old Suffolk University buildings; the 1920s Classical Revival "Archer" building and the 1960s Modernist "Donahue" building. The buildings were expertly connected and topped with a penthouse level by the developers, making 62 hip residences that mesh old character with 21st-century comforts. The buildings exterior design, the collaboration of The Architectural Team and LDa Architecture & Interiors, restored the original fronts with a new complementing design for the Donahue building.
Inside, the residences have a variety of adaptable floor plans, from one-bedroom homes to spacious four-bedroom penthouses, several with ceilings that vault and original oversized windows. Premium finishes define the interiors, including wide rift oak flooring, marble counters, Waterworks fixtures, and high-end Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.
Archer's signature is its comprehensive amenity package, providing a "white glove" lifestyle. Residents enjoy 24-hour doorman and concierge, high-end fitness and wellness center, children's playroom, pet spa, and spacious club room with private dining area. The experience is capped by a breathtakingly landscaped roof deck, a communal spot for grilling and lounging with unparalleled views of the golden dome of the Massachusetts State House and historic cityscape. The Archer very successfully provides contemporary, service-saturated living while still remaining attached to one of Boston's most charming and historically significant neighborhoods
