Harbor Towers
Harbor Towers
65-85 East India Row, Boston, MA 02110
The twin towers of the Harbor Towers are a prominent landmark on the Boston skyline, one of the city's earliest and longest-standing modern residential complexes along the Waterfront. Funded in 1971, the 40-story towers were among the city's grand urban renewal efforts. Designed by world-famous global architectural firm I.M. Pei & Partners and led by architect Henry N. Cobb, who also designed the John Hancock Tower.
Architecturally, the towers are characterized by their distinctive Brutalist style, distinguished by their dramatic reinforced concrete exterior and the recurrent, "zipper-like" pattern of the private balconies. Originally developed as a rental complex, the towers were redeveloped into well over 600 condominiums in the early 1980s, and long-time residents and newcomers alike poured into the waterfront lifestyle.
The allure of Harbor Towers is inevitably tied to its breathtaking address and expansive amenities. Located on India Wharf, the homes offer unparalleled, expansive views of Boston Harbor, Financial District skyline, and surrounding Rose Kennedy Greenway. This premium location puts residents just steps from the New England Aquarium, Faneuil Hall, and dining and culture of historic North End.
Upscale services enhance a hip urban lifestyle, including 24/7 concierge and security, tastefully landscaped common courtyard, outdoor seasonal heated pool, and private barbecue spaces. Convenience is also enhanced by on-site professional management and available garage parking. Although the individual condos, ranging from studios to large combined penthouses, receive varying levels of renovation, they are all enriched by the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass that command views of the breathtaking, ever-changing sea canvas of Boston Harbor.
