Folio Boston
80 Broad St., Boston MA, 02110
The Folio Condominiums at 80 Broad Street represent the perfect marriage of historic preservation and sleek, modern luxury at the intersection of Boston's Financial District and Waterfront. The 96-unit, 14-story structure, finished in 2006, was created by CBT Architects, which won a "Preservation Achievement Award" for its incorporation of a two-centuries-old Charles Bulfinch-designed structure into its base.
Folio's architecture is a thoughtful blend of the old and the new, with traditional brick and granite at street level giving way to a contemporary mix of metal paneling and glass curtain walls for the upper floors. This strategy maximizes the building's context while giving the residents dramatic light and extensive views.
The high-end residences, ranging from studios to three-bedroom penthouses, are finished in luxury details. Interiors boast hardwood floors (including eco-friendly bamboo in some units), high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Boston Harbor, the Custom House Tower, and the adjacent Rose Kennedy Greenway. Kitchens are equipped with high-end details like granite countertops, Poggenpohl cabinets, and SubZero and Miele stainless steel appliances. Private terraces are also part of many upper-level units.
A white-glove lifestyle is offered by Folio, a premier full-service building. A 24/7 concierge service and valet garage parking (most units include) headline the amenities package. An on-site restaurant and lounge on the ground floor add to the convenience. Some of the contemporary amenities residents enjoy include in-unit laundry and deeded storage.
Folio's urban location provides a Walker's Paradise (Walk Score of 98) and a Rider's Paradise (Transit Score of 100). It is in walking distance from the Rose Kennedy Greenway park system and a short walk to the Financial District, the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and the Waterfront destinations, including the New England Aquarium. Convenient access to numerous MBTA stops (Blue, Orange, and Red lines) provides easy travel within Boston and beyond.
